About Us
My family and I moved into the Pekin community about 7 years ago. Since that time I have worked at the Children's Home Association, EPIC and Lutheran Social Services. I graduated from Walden University with a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2013 and became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
It took me many years to figure out that I am a highly sensitive person and how this trait played a role in my life. I suffered with my sensitivities not understanding why I always took things personal. Going through this struggle, I suffered from my own periods of depression and anxiety.
Since that time, I knew, working with people, especially kids was my life purpose. Nothing hurts my heart more than seeing someone suffer. I decided, if I could help, I would do everything in my power to prevent further pain. This is also one of the reasons I became a foster and adoptive mother.
